Guys, I finally made it to Magnolia. I still can’t believe it. It was one of those trips where I couldn’t get to my computer fast enough so I could write it all down. I wanted to remember everything. Like many of you, it was a huge dream of mine to visit this magical place. It wasn’t just about the shopping or the cupcakes. It had a much deeper meaning for me. I was still teaching when I happened upon Fixer Upper one night about four years ago. I believe it was the first episode of season 1. It was one of those moments that I will never forget. Instantly, I became a fan of Chip and Joanna. I felt like Joanna’s farmhouse style and her story of how she opened a store and became a decorator spoke to me. Her story inspired me to pursue my own dreams and start decorating. I honestly decided to quit my job (crazy I know) and go for it because of her. She truly is my biggest inspiration, so naturally, I wanted to see this amazing place that her and Chip created in person. It honestly was even better than I had imagined.
Lemons in The Kitchen For Spring!! My New Lemon Print From Kirkland’s
This post is sponsored by Kirkland’s, but all of my opinions are my own. Thank you so much for supporting the brands that make this blog possible!
Hi my friends! I don’t know about you, but I am so excited it’s finally April! April, to me, means bringing fresh decor and brighter colors into my home. I just love pops of color in the spring to give my home a fresh and cheerful feeling. I love decorating for spring, but honestly, I was really lacking inspiration this year – especially in my kitchen. I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to go in until I received this gorgeous lemon canvas from Kirkland’s new Terrain Collection . I instantly knew that this print HAD to go in my kitchen! It was so gorgeous and full of inspiration. I just love the lush greens and bright yellows! It instantly brought a breath of fresh air and pops of spring color that my kitchen needed.
I Opened Up A New Booth- 112 Antique Mall
Hey guys!! I’m alive, I promise. Life has been CRAZY the last couple of weeks. This past weekend was no different, but something really exciting happened! I opened up a new booth at 112 Antique Mall here in Nashville. I already have one booth here, but I decided it as time for another one. I now have all of my items in one store, under one roof, and I am so excited to put my time and energy into these two booths.
DIY Wood Poster Hanging Frame
Happy Monday my friends!! I hope you had a great weekend. I spent my weekend cleeeeaaannning. Spring puts me in a nesting mood where all I want to do is clean and start projects. One small and super easy project that I did manage to squeeze in was creating a wood hanging poster frame for a few botanical posters that I got last year at the Country Living Fair here in Nashville. They have been sitting around, and I thought they would be a great addition to my springtime decor.
My Weekend Flea Market Find- Vintage Church Pew
Yay for March!! Anybody with me on that? I’ve never been so happy to say goodbye to a month. I feel like February was a bully, and I was picked on all month..haha. It’s okay though, you just got to keep on keeping on. One fun thing that did happen was that I finally found a piece of furniture that I have been searching long and hard for. We are going to call this find a church pew, but I’m still not sure. The lady that I bought it from told me it was a church pew because it has a place in the back to hold church hymnals, but I’m thinking it could also be a vintage movie theater seat. Whatever it is, I’m so in love with it!
Farmhouse Style Dining Room Refresh
Guuuuys, I’m so excited that I can finally share with you all the changes that I have been working on in my dining room. I know, it’s about time. If you follow me on Instagram , then you have seen in my stories my hunt for the perfect table and chairs. Man, the struggle has been REAL. I’m one of those gals that usually doesn’t know what I’m looking for until I see it. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a new table and chairs or an antique set. I did however know that I wanted a new light fixture, and I had the perfect one in mind. I have done a little here and there, but it finally all came together this past week. Yay!! I just love how it all turned out, and I hope you do too!

My Honest Review of Ikea’s Ektorp Sofa and Slipcover- One Year Later
It’s going on a year of having my Ikea Ektorp sofas, chair, and slipcover, so I thought it would be fun to do a very honest review on them. I get asked all the time what I think about them and the usual response is that I love them….but. Yes, there is a “but” and I will get to that very soon. Let me start with saying I did my research on them before heading out on a little road trip to pick them up. Everyone that had them told me to go for it and honestly, I’m so glad I did because I do love them. The pros for sure outweigh the cons, but I thought it would be helpful to share with you what I wish I would have known before purchasing them.

Chippy Shutter Table Runner
Hello there, Wednesday! Hope you guys are having a great week so far. My schedule is jammed packed this week with stocking my booths, a client install, and helping another client do some styling and painting, but today, I had a little extra time to clean up a few things around here and decided it was time for a change in my kitchen. I’m really making it a goal this year to think outside the box. I know, that seems a bit silly for a goal, but I never want to feel like I’m doing exactly what everyone else is doing. I really have no problem with doing things that I like even if it seems a bit different. Well, today was one of those days. I yanked a chippy shutter off of the wall and decided it needed to be my table runner. Totally normal, right?
