We are officially back in school, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. I am a little sad that those lazy days of summer are over, but the idea of routine sounds kinda refreshing. Today, I wasted no time getting to work while the kids were back at school and decided to give our small space mudroom a refresh. I’m calling this a space small because our “mudroom” is literally on a small wall off of the garage. Although the space is tiny, it might just be the most functional place in our entire home. We have a set of 4 cubbies there that were custom made for this space and it is the perfect solution for our small space mudroom.Continue Reading
Happy Friday friends! Today, I am so excited to share with you guys one of my favorite things that I use in my home… Antique Candle Co. candles!!! I’m sure you have heard about them, but if you haven’t, they are an amazing small shop that sells the yummiest candles ever. If you follow me on Instagram, then you know how passionate I am about these candles. I share them all the time on there, so I thought it would be fun to do a little roundup of my favorite summer scents. Although these scents could be used all year round, I am especially loving them for summer.Continue Reading
Happy Tuesday guys! Can you believe tomorrow is the last day of July? I mean, my kids actually start school on Monday. What the heck? I guess it’s time to get back into the reality of homework and routines, but honestly, that doesn’t sound too bad. Although summer break is almost over around here, summer is still hanging on for a little while longer. Today, I thought it was the perfect time to do a round-up of how I use botanical prints in my home. They are a beautiful way to decorate in the spring and summer, but I actually even keep some up all year round. I’ve literally put them in almost every single room of my home, so today, I’m sharing 5 rooms and 5 ways I use them to decorate in my home.Continue Reading
This post is sponsored by Overstock, but all of my opinions are my own. You guys!! My outdoor living room is finally complete, and I’m so excited to share my makeover reveal! I worked with Overstock to bring this look together, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. We have been waiting a long time to have a space outside to hangout, entertain, and watch movies at night, but we finally have it!! Woohoo!! Our covered porch was built around this time last year and we have only been using our outdoor dining space for the past year. My family loves eating outside, so now that we have another part of this outdoor space complete is so exciting! I have a ton of photos to share, so let’s get started. First, let me start with the very empty before pictures so you can see where I started.Continue Reading
I’m so tired, but my heart is FULL!! I have the tears to prove it LOL! I spent the last few days at the Haven Conference in Atlanta, and to say it was a blast would honestly be an understatement. I’m not joking when I say I teared up a few times this weekend. I know, I’m ridiculous, but it was truly tears of joy and gratitude. Let me tell you, it feels good to be able to do something that you love and if you don’t feel like you are in that place, work your booty off until you get there. I just spent the weekend with like-minded, powerful women who truly support each other. I saw no sign of competition. How refreshing is that?! Just a group of women who are willing to help support each other through this journey. So, whether you are a home decor blogger, a DIYer, or maybe it’s your dream to do that one day, let’s chat about why you need to make it a priority to go next year.Continue Reading
Wait, are we really only 1 week away from the 4th of July?? How is this summer going by so fast? I realized this little fact yesterday, and rushed to get my 4th of July decor out. I don’t go all out for the Fourth, but I love this holiday and enjoy decorating and keeping it simple. It’s always fun mixing in some red, white, and blue into my neutral decor. My theme for this year is vintage patriotic. I do a mix of vintage flags, old blue Mason Jars, crocks, greens, and a few red and blue books sprinkled in. I thought it would be fun to show you a few simple ways I use my vintage inspired 4th of July decor to decorate. Love how everything works so well together and gives my home such a beautiful and festive summer vibe.Continue Reading
Who else loves herbs? We love planting herbs every year around here. It’s just something fun that my family loves to do, and bonus, we use them all the time! We typically plant them in pots and set them on a potting bench which was great, but this year, I wanted to mix it up a bit. We got a new covered porch last summer, and I no longer had room to put a potting bench under it. One thing that I did have was wall space. I thought it would be fun to hang them on the wall and also use them as a pretty piece of decor under my porch. Guys, this DIY wall herb garden was so SIMPLE, and I love how it turned out. Let me walk you though how I made it and show you how you can make one for yourself!!Continue Reading
Are we really almost a week into June?? NOOO! Summer, please slow down. So, I am in a huge summer simplify mode, so I have been going around like a crazy person cleaning and simplifying. Something else that I have been doing is adding real greens to my home to give it a fresh look and feel. Summer is the perfect time to give fresh greens a try. I am no expert, but by adding a few to each room really makes a huge difference, and so far, I’ve kept them all alive. Fingers crossed I can keep this up!! One space that I thought needed a few greens and some simple summer decor was my DIY console table. I love decorating this table, so I had so much fun changing things up and adding some touches of summer!Continue Reading
