Happy Tuesday friends!! I am so excited to share with you a little entryway refresh just in time for March! I love March because it means spring is right around the corner. When I think of spring, I think of lighter colors, fresh and simple decor, and greens of course! I knew I wanted to change up my entryway, and I have been racking my brain how to give it a fresh look for spring. One thing that came to my mind was lighting and Kirkland’s lamps came to mind. Updated lighting can transform the feel of a space. On my latest shopping trip to there, I spotted these beautiful blue and cream ceramic lamps and knew they would be perfect for my entryway. These Kirkland’s lamps are exactly what this space needed.Continue Reading
Happy Tuesday!!! Gah, so sorry I’ve been slacking this past week. We took a little road trip last weekend, and I’ve been crazy working on a fun bonus room reveal that will be up soon. Ahhh, I can’t wait for you to see that. While on our little road trip last weekend, we stopped at Ikea which is a big deal since we don’t have one here in Nashville. I knew exactly what I was wanting and that was GREENERY! Ikea plants are so great because they make it so easy to mix and match with different pots around your house. I filled my big blue bag with a ton of plants, and I thought it would be fun to show you how I used them in my house to get ready for spring!Continue Reading
Haaapppy Wednesday!! I took a short breather from blogging, but I’m back today to share with you our kitchen eating area refresh. I realized that I haven’t shared this space with you guys since Christmas. The goal was to keep it light and airy and maybe even a little springy in here. If you saw my latest flea market finds, I decided to use this oversized vintage basket in the middle of my table with some flowy stems coming out the top. I love a basket centerpiece because it creates texture. It’s also super easy to move when we need to, so I’m loving it here for now. When deciding to redecorate a space, I always find something that helps inspire the entire space. It’s safe to say when I spotted this basket, I knew my kitchen eating area needed it. This basket centerpiece inspired the entire kitchen eating area refresh.Continue Reading
Happy Tuesday!! So, I realized when I was getting my booth ready for spring this past weekend that I haven’t shared an update on my Bless This Nest booth in a while. My booth is in 112 Antique Mall in Crossplains, TN. That’s about 30 minutes north of Nashville. I’ve had a booth for about 2 years and love every minute of it! I even shared a few tips to starting your own antique booth HERE. It’s another place for me to express myself and my style. So, like I was saying, I went up there this past weekend to bring a few of my latest finds. Although it’s only the beginning of February, I thought it already needed some spring touches. I am going to share with you some furniture and home decor items I love for spring.Continue Reading
Hey hey friends and happy February!!!! Today, I thought it would be fun to mix it up a little bit and share with you my favorite 5 minute party dip recipe since Super Bowl Sunday is only a couple of days away. If you are anything like me, I sometimes struggle to find a side to bring to a party or gathering. This dip has quickly turned into my go-to dish because it is SO YUMMY, so easy to make, and literally takes 5 minutes or less to make. I promise, this dip will be a huge hit at any party, family reunion, or gathering of friends. It is a family favorite, and I hope you love it as much as we do!!Continue Reading
Isn’t it just so lovely when you get to spend the weekend doing what you love? Besides celebrating my daughter’s birthday and spending time with her, I also got to hit up my favorite place. That’s right guys, it was flea market weekend here in Nashville, and I not only got to go twice, but I got to do it kid free! Can I get a hallalua?!? It was so fun and so cold, but that did not stop me from finding so many treasures. I spent the weekend styling and doing a little refresh on some spaces, and I can’t wait to show you all of my flea market finds!
So let me start with showing you all of my treasures!Continue Reading
This post is sponsored by Kirkland’s, but all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make this blog possible. So, I finally figured it out. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out a word for 2019. I’ve never done this before, but I thought it sounded fun and like something that could really help me meet my goals in the new year. Hey, it’s worth a shot. So the word I chose is INTENTIONAL. Why? Well, for lots of reasons but one answer would be because planning and having a purpose for tasks is part of my New Year’s resolution and part of that involves getting my house finally organized. Not just clean but REALLY organizing every area that feels out of control. One area that I am starting with is this “catch all” kitchen desk area. This spot gets all the homework, bills, change, toys, random socks……etc. You get the idea. It stays and mess all the time, and I’m SO ready for a change. My goal is to be more intentional and to finally use this space for what it’s made for. So, I got busy weeding out old papers and bills and started with a clean slate. Then, I headed to Kirkland’s (my go-to place for all things home) to find the perfect storage for my kitchen desk area organization goals. I can’t wait to show you how it looks now!!!
Happy Friday friends!! I’ve been crazy busy this week getting all the things organized that Friday snuck up on me. I’ll be sharing a few areas that got organized in my house on the blog next week, but today, I wanted to share with you an issue that so many people have when they are decorating. How to decorate around a television. Let’s face it, tv’s aren’t the cutest and most of us would rather not just have a tv sitting there. The good news is that there is a solution. There are actually so many ways to help disguise, hide, or just decorate around a television, and today I’m sharing 5 of my favorites!
The number one FAQ that I get is about my house paint colors, so today, I wanted to go through each room and share my favorite farmhouse style paint colors. Choosing the right paint color is so HARD for me, just ask my husband. I’ll admit that I don’t have the best track record when it comes to choosing paint colors. I think we have painted and repainted almost every room in the three houses that we have lived in. Oops!! I usually end up either getting tired of a color or it doesn’t look the same on the walls compared to the paint sample. Well friends, the good news is that I think I have finally got it right (for now), and I love all of the colors that are currently in my home!
