Happy Friday!! We made it!! You guys, I’m so excited to finally share a project that I have been working on for the last couple of months!! I mean, it is an actual farmhouse so naturally it needed a few farmhouse touches. I had a baby towards the end of it, but luckily my client took our vision and finished things up beautifully!! Today, I’m sharing the living room and TV room reveals. The reveal is my favorite part of the job. I love seeing our vision come together. It just so happens I was working with the best client’s who listened to my vision for their home and even added a few extra touches that will blow you away.
Hey hey and happy Eclipse Day!! It’s good to be back. I have been away from my blog for a few weeks getting in all kinds of snuggles. I had my sweet little boy 4 weeks ago, and I’m finally figuring out how to juggle having three kids while trying to keep a clean house, paint furniture, work at my booths, and do a little blogging. Whew!! I wouldn’t change this craziness for anything in the world though! It’s the best!
Happy Friday!! It’s been a while since I’ve had a few minutes to do what I love and that my friends is blogging. I’ve quickly fell in love with it. It’s a time to share my little bits and pieces of creativity and hopefully spread a little inspiration. One of my favorite things to see are before and after pictures. They inspire me. They help me see where something came from and how, with a little hard work and vision, you can create something new. Something fresh. Something that reflects what you love or worked hard for. When we moved into our home four years ago, the previous owner had a much different decorating style than myself. I looked at it the first time and wondered what I could do to fall in love with the space. I wanted it to reflect what I love. I wanted it to be a cozy and fun place for my family.
Hi friends!! I’ve had the craziest week so I’m so excited to have a few minutes to just breath. I only have a couple of weeks until I’m due and nesting is in full swing. I’m tackling this house one room at a time and this entryway refresh was on my list of to do’s.
I love my entryway because it’s filled with some of my favorite things. Some may call it junk but I call it my favorite recycled treasures. Give me all the chippy white wood!! Today, I am sharing with you how I turned a huge boring entry way wall into a farmhouse style collage wall using a few of my favorite recycled finds!!
Guess what friends?? Tomorrow is my booth’s birthday!! We are celebrating at our store with food trucks and CAKE!! I seriously can’t believe it’s been a year since I opened my very first booth! Holy smokes time flies! It’s crazy how fast life goes by when you are loving what you do!
Luckily, a little over a year ago a little shop called No. 38 Vintage Marketplace was set to open, and I had just quit my job from teaching and was ready to start a new chapter in my life, literally. It as a brand new chapter! A territory I was not familiar with. EEEKKK! Now that is scary stuff. Starting a whole new career with nothing but prayers and a gut feeling that it was all going to be okay. I was a little nervous but so ready to start selling and creating fun pieces that I loved!!
Hey guys! I’m so excited to share with you today’s post because it involved sweet clients and all things farmhouse! I recently worked with a client who was moving into a new construction home but wanted that simple, cozy, farmhouse look. Let me just say, it’s a dream to work with clients who have the same vision as you do for a space. I knew I was going to have fun with this project!! I was able to see this home take shape from the studs, and I absolutely adore how it turned out!!
Hello friends and thanks for stopping by! I’m so excited to finally have a place to share all of my favorite DIY tutorials! Today, I’m bringing you one that I get questions about all the time. It’s a pretty basic project, but it makes a huge impact on a space, especially if you are going for a farmhouse look.
I recently posted about my love for decorating with windows and all of my window ideas in my home. You can check it out here.
In that post, I shared how I decided to hang a window as a room divider. I first thought it was a pretty crazy idea but then realized I like crazy ideas. Sometimes those ideas are exactly what a space needs. It ended up being the perfect little addition to my hallway and a way to decorate behind my couch. Double win!!
My herb garden is finally finished!! I know, I know, some of you have been cooking with herbs from your herb garden all spring. Better late than never I guess.
It all started with my trip to the Country Living Fair a couple of months back. I knew I wanted a farmhouse style cubby that I could put pots in, but I was having a hard time finding the perfect piece. I ventured out to one of my favorite shows on a very rainy morning and spotted the most beautiful booth, Olde Tyme Marketplace. When I saw this piece all styled with pots, I knew it had to be mine. I bought the cubbies and the table with a vision of the perfect little herb garden.
Hello friends and happy June! I’m back today to share with you another makeover that I added to my kitchen, and it is one of my favorites! One reason I wanted to start this blog was to share with you fun ways to bring old and tired pieces back to life. They deserve a second chance. You have to look passed the ugly and see the beauty in pieces. It’s pretty amazing what a vision and a little paint can do.
Let’s first start with the space. I LOVE hutches, especially in kitchens, so I was pretty bummed when we moved in and I saw that we had no room for one in our eating area. I mean, I need a place to display all my junk! I found an old and ugly top hutch at a yard sale for $25 and when I say ugly this is what I mean…
Well, HELLO!! It’s been the craziest week getting ready for summer break, but I had a little time today so I thought I would share with you one of my favorite decorating tips/tricks. I call it a trick because it’s pretty much my go to piece of decor. What am I referring to?? WINDOWS!!! OH, how I love decorating with windows! Why? Well, here are a few reasons why I love decorating with them:
- They are CHEAP, especially when you are on a budget
- They are easy to find in different shapes and sizes
- They add instant character and charm to your space
- You can add items to them easily like wreaths, flowers, or signs
- The possibilities are endless if you just get creative
